Leo, a 2023 action thriller film in Indian Tamil language, is produced and directed by S. S. Lalit Kumar and Jagadish Palanisamy. It is also marketed as Leo: Bloody Sweet. In addition to Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Sarja, Trisha, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mysskin, Madonna Sebastian, Mansoor Ali Khan, and Priya Anand, Vijay plays the film's lead role. The 1997 graphic novel A History of Violence served as the inspiration for the third entry in the Lokesh Cinematic Universe.

Since it is Vijay's 67th feature film as the lead actor, the movie was first formally announced in January 2023 under the working title Thalapathy 67. A few days later, the real title was revealed. In addition to a spotty schedule in Kashmir, principal photography began in Chennai the same month. It was completed by mid-July, with another schedule held at the original site. Anirudh Ravichander created the film's soundtrack, Manoj Paramahamsa took care of the photography, and Philomin Raj handled the editing.

On October 19, 2023, Leo was released in both normal and IMAX versions globally.

Following Master's early 2021 success, rumors circulated that Lokesh Kanagaraj paid Vijay a visit at home and read aloud a script that struck a chord with him. The project was intended to be the actor's 66th feature picture as a lead actor; however, Varisu (2023) was given that role instead of the actor.[4] Up until February 2022, rumors about Lokesh and Vijay possibly working together persisted.(5)[6] In March of the subsequent year, Lokesh disclosed that negotiations were on for him to helm Vijay's 67th movie.[7] He confirmed the project that May; it was dubbed Thalapathy 67.(8) The production was financed by Seven Screen Studio, owned by S. S. Lalit Kumar, who also co-produced and distributed Master [9]. Jagadish, Vijay's manager, is a co-producer as well.
